First Property Buyer

If you have the equity and stable employment, now is a really great time to invest, Positive Real Estate founder Jason Whitton has claimed.

Speaking to Smart Property Investment, Mr Whitton said buyers were being particularly cautious at the moment, while sellers were keen to get rid of their stock.

“It is always a good time to buy, but now more so than ever. There is plenty of stock on the market and not a lot of buyers, which means there are plenty of bargains to be had,” he said.

For those investors contemplating jumping on to the property ladder, Mr Whitton said there were a few things to look out for.

“I always tell my investor clients, don’t buy accommodation and don’t buy something you can’t structurally change.”
